Gavin Patterson, the recently appointed Chief Executive of BT is the latest top industry speaker to join the roster for the 6th Annual Leaders in Football conference, taking place over 9th and 10th October, 2013 at Chelsea FC.
Speaking on day 2, Patterson, who joined BT in 2004 as Managing Director of the consumer division, was one of a handful of key figures who planned the £738m move to acquire 38 of the 154 Barclays Premier League matches, including 18 ‘first pick’ matches, to establish BT Sport. In this exclusive session, Patterson will share his vision for the future growth of BT, and how he sees sport as a game changer for the business.
He joins a number of the world’s leading influencers in football including Greg Dyke, Chairman, The Football Association; Andrea Agnelli, President, Juventus FC; Hugh Robertson, Minister for Sport and Tourism, UK Government; Decio De Maria Serrano, President, Liga MX; Unal Aysal, Chairman, Galatasaray S.K.; Sunil Gulati, FIFA Executive Committee Member and President, US Soccer Federation; Luis Álvaro, President, Santos FC and Peter Siemsen, President, Fluminense FC. 1,000 senior decision-makers linked to Clubs, Leagues, Associations, Federations and Brands will be in attendance over the two days making it a unique and high level networking environment.

BT Sport launched in July this year with three television channels – BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN following the acquisition of ESPN’s UK and Ireland TV channels business.
