La Liga President pledges to tackle match fixing at Leaders in Football as conference completely sells-out

Leaders in Football is proud to announce a complete sell-out with the latest speaker announced, President of La Liga, Javier Tebas, for an exclusive keynote interview covering one of the biggest threats to the integrity of football, match fixing. The session, sponsored by ICSS (International Centre for Sport Security) will openly debate the acceleration of this global threat fuelled by betting syndicates, the globalisation of football and the pressure sometimes felt by players and officials alike from outside parties.

“Following the revelation of several national and international match-fixing cases over recent weeks, it has never been more critical that the football industry comes together to identify real and effective measures to combat match-fixing and threats to the integrity of sport.”
Chris Eaton, Director of Sport Integrity at the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS)

The ICSS sponsored & moderated panel will take place on day 1 (9th October) of Leaders in Football and will no doubt be debated throughout the 2 day conference agenda. To further demonstrate their leadership position around the integrity of sport, ICSS will partner with Leaders in Football as one of the main sponsors in 2013 and help shape the debate throughout the course of the 2 days.

“This panel at Leaders in Football will draw on the insight and experience of some of the leading figures in world football and I look forward to discussing further how to effectively deal with one the most pressing issues in world football today.”
Chris Eaton, Director of Sport Integrity at the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS)
