Leaders in Football, the premium annual event in the football business calendar, reported a significant growth across its entire business following the staging of another successful event at Chelsea FC.
Over 45 countries were represented at the event with 42% of the 1045 delegates in attendance coming from overseas. Over 200 senior executives from Clubs across the world attended, with every European League and a host of world leagues also visiting the event. 11 international TV crews covered the event alongside over 100 accredited media, with the event broadcast worldwide to an audience of over 50m viewers.
With sponsorship revenue up 94%, the exhibition sold out once again, and delegate revenue up by over 50%, the event bucked the conference trend in a very challenging economic environment. The initial exit survey revealed an approval rating of over 94% for the event with 82% of delegates expecting to do business in the next 2 months.
James Worrall, CEO of Leaders in Football comments 'we took a strategic decision at the beginning of the year to build on last year with the goal of establishing Leaders in Football as the premium annual event for the international football industry. In a market that is crowded, we felt that it was important to focus all year round on quality of content and attendees rather than diluting the product and, judging by the feedback, that decision has been vindicated'
Whilst demand for Leaders in Football continues to rise, the organisers confirm their plans to cap the number of attendees to 1,000 for future editions so as to maintain the exclusivity and integrity of the event.
